We’re not talking about going to the gym for cardio; exercise for kids should be easy and fun! Playing on the playground is a great way for children to have fun and get various kinds of exercise at once; running, climbing, monkey bars, swinging, balancing and more. All of these activities on the playground improve their coordination, muscle strength and stamina. Playing on the playground will also help improve a child’s sleep and boost their mood – two things every parent wants! The [American Heart Association](http://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/HealthyLiving/HealthyKids/ActivitiesforKids/The-AHAs-Recommendations-for-Physical-Activity-in-Children_UCM_304053_Article.jsp#.WhXtDFWnGUk) recommends that kids ages 2 and older should get at least 60 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity every day. If they can’t get a full 60 minutes in one stretch it can be broken up into 2 – 30 minute sessions or 4 – 15 minute sessions. Establishing a regular schedule for physical activity will help your kids, and YOU, embrace a healthier lifestyle. If you’re looking to add playground equipment to a school, church, park, apartment complex or neighborhood Miracle Recreation has fantastic line of outdoor fitness equipment and play structures that both children and adults can use. These structures are great because they offer the community the ability to get fit and stay healthy without having to pay a monthly membership; an added bonus is that kids and adults can both use the equipment together. Miracle Recreation’s [current sale](http://www.miracleparkplace.com/products/current-sales/) has select outdoor fitness equipment, along with other play equipment and accessories, for up to 40% off now through December 31, 2019. There’s no better time to build (or revamp) a playground than in the winter months so that it’s primed and ready to go in the Spring! ## Recent Posts - [How to Design Cooler, Safer Playgrounds in South Texas](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/how-to-design-cooler-safer-playgrounds-in-south-texas) - [The Future of Playground Design Starts Here](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/the-future-of-playground-design-starts-here) - [Outdoor Play vs. Screen Time: Why Balance Matters](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/outdoor-play-vs-screen-time-why-balance-matters) - [Designing Unique Community Playgrounds Across South Texas](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/creating-destination-playgrounds-across-south-texas) - [Smarter Playground Design: The Importance of Shade and Shelter](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/smarter-playground-design-the-importance-of-shade-and-shelter-in-todays-parks) ## Archives - [September 2020](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/archive/2020/09) - [August 2020](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/archive/2020/08) - [April 2020](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/archive/2020/04) - [February 2020](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/archive/2020/02) - [January 2020](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/archive/2020/01) - [December 2019](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/archive/2019/12) - [November 2019](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/archive/2019/11) - [October 2019](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/archive/2019/10) - [July 2019](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/archive/2019/07) - [May 2019](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/archive/2019/05) ## Categories - [Outdoor Play](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/tag/outdoor-play) - [Inclusive Play](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/tag/inclusive-play) - [Nature Play](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/tag/nature-play) - [Recent Projects](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/tag/recent-projects) - [Outdoor Classroom](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/tag/outdoor-classroom) - [Playground Design](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/tag/playground-design) - [Playground Planning](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/tag/playground-planning) - [Fall Sale](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/tag/fall-sale) - [Outdoor Musical Instruments](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/tag/outdoor-musical-instruments) - [Playground Surfacing](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/tag/playground-surfacing) - [Shade](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/blog/tag/shade) [![PPR-Logo-1](https://play.miracleparkplace.com/hs-fs/hubfs/PPR-Logo-1.png?width=215&height=53&name=PPR-Logo-1.png)](http://www.miracleparkplace.com/) - [Home](http://www.miracleparkplace.com/) - [Catalogs](http://www.miracleparkplace.com/catalogs/) - [Blog](http://www.miracleparkplace.com/blog/) - [About Us](http://www.miracleparkplace.com/about-us/) - [Contact Us](http://www.miracleparkplace.com/contact-us/) - [Privacy Policy](http://www.miracleparkplace.com/privacy-policy-2/) ### Find Us On [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/people/Park-Place-Recreation-Designs-Inc/100064013466360/#) [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/@ParkPlaceRecDesigns) [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/park_place_recreation_designs/) [X](https://x.com/park_place_rec) [Linkedin](https://www.linkedin.com/company/park-place-recreation-designs-inc) We are a commercial-grade park & playground equipment consulting & design firm with 35+ years experience providing South Texas with safe, durable and competitively priced equipment designed to address children's developmental needs.
